Gauging Interest for Nissan Frontier 4-Leaf Mini-Pack / Add-a-Leafs

Nissan Xterra add-a-leaf mini pack (4-leaf)

Just a few months ago, We released the 4-Leaf Add-a-leaf packs for the 2005+ Nissan Xterra. These add-a-leaf packs are a great alternative to other add-a-leafs on the market due to using more material. It’s simply a longer lasting solution with 4 leafs and gives 2.5″ of lift height. It’s also much more cost effective than complete new leaf packs.

Since the release for the Xterras, we have gotten a handful of enquiries asking about a similar solution for the 2005+ Frontiers (D40). These enquiries have come in all forms of social media and has not been easy to keep track of. If you are interested in knowing the progress of this product and want to get notified when they are released, please submit your e-mail address in the form below (don’t forget to click the link in the verification email). I should also mention that those that submit their e-mail below will also get notified about introductory pricing which should be about $240 for the pair. The price will then go up to about $280.
The future of this product will be based upon the number of people we have sign up over the next few weeks, and everyone that submits their e-mail will be notified of what we decide to do.  If we decide to move forward then it will be about another 8 – 10 weeks for production.

Please share this post with your friends to help bring a new suspension solution to frontier owners.

Rugged Rocks Develops Three New Gears for Nissan H233B in Collaboration with Revolution Gear & Axle

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 12, 2017

Rugged Rocks Develops Three New Gears for Nissan H233B in Collaboration with Revolution Gear & Axle
Fontana, Calif. – Rugged Rocks is exclusively offering three new gears manufactured by Revolution Gear & Axle for the Nissan H233B rear and H233B reverse fronts axles. Available gears include 5.13, 5.57 and 5.89 – all of which fit front and rear axles.

“Off-roaders have been asking for the 5.57 and 5.89 gears in the aftermarket for quite some time,” said Founder and President of Rugged Rocks Steven Lutz. “Working closely with Revolution Gear & Axle, I was able to develop deeper gears for more low-end torque at a reasonable price point.”

Lutz said although the 5.13 is currently offered in the aftermarket, Revolution Gear and Axle is able to get cost down for consumers.

The gears fit the following Nissan vehicles and model years:
• Pathfinder Rear: 1990-2004
• Hardbody Pickup Rear: 1990-1997
• Frontier Rear: 1998-2004
• Xterra Rear: 2000-2004
• Y60 & Y61 Patrol Front (reverse rotation) and Rear: 1990-Present

These gears start at $264.95 and can be purchased exclusively through RuggedRocksOffroad.com.

“The H233B is a very strong axle,” Lutz said. “However, because gears for the axle have been expensive in the past, I’ve seen people go through the trouble of changing out the whole axle to a weaker model just to have access to less expensive aftermarket parts.”

Off-road drivers now have access to OEM gear alternatives without needing to swap out axles and sacrifice strength in order to use more affordable gear options.
Rugged Rocks, LLC was established in 2006 by Steven Lutz. More information about the products available can be viewed at RuggedRocksOffroad.com.

Heavy Duty 300M / 4340 Choromoly CV Shafts for Nissan Xterra / Frontier R180 Font Differential by RCV

Nissan R180 CV Axle Shafts

We’ve heard the stories on the message boards and we’ve seen it at various Nissan events like GONE Moab. The ’05+ Xterra / Frontier OEM Front R180 CV axle shafts just aren’t holding up, which is why we’ve been seeking out a better option and contacted RCV Performance who makes 300m CV Joints and 4340 Axle Shafts.

The RCV outter cv joints are made of 300M and have a maximum safe operating angle of 43 – 45 degrees.  degrees. while the inner 300M CV typically see’s a nice increase in operating angle over stock as well. (no definite angles at the moment for the nissans) The shafts are made of 4340 Chromoly all of which is made here in the U.S. The CV’s are also rebuild-able and easy to maintain with a zerk fitting on the end of the shaft. The expected price is $1995.00 for the pair. and comes with a “No Questions Asked” limited lifetime warranty.

A sample shaft will be to RCV late next week and from there R&D will begin immediately (around Sept. 9th. ) and a production batch could be ready as soon as late October.

I’d like to see at least 7 people with immediate interest in these shafts to help keep things on this timeline. RCV really tries to produce at least 10 sets at a time. things start to get way too expensive if we run any less.

Please comment below if you are interested and if you  would be looking to buy within the next 3 months, 6 months, 1 year or more than 1 year.

Thank you for your interest and feedback.
