Over / Under – The Fate of RCV shafts for IFS Nissans

The window is closing. The buzz ran strong and the lists were growing with momentum. Then it stopped. We still don’t have enough demand to bring back the RCV axle shafts for any single Nissan IFS  application.
I feel like I did a pretty good job reaching the nissan market through my e-mails as well as on social media and forums. Apparently it wasn’t enough. I honestly don’t know where else to turn to push this forward further with the exception of asking you, reading this right now, to possibly post in places that I may have missed. maybe you have a local nissan club or trail run coming up.. maybe think about mentioning it. Otherwise this seems to be a dead project. If people continue to come forward, I ‘ll keep the list growing, but I have learned over the years that the longer it takes to get a project off the ground, the less likely they are to followthrough at the same time that the majority is. Overall, it can be tough to get everyone on the same page.

In other news, Camacho Motorsports was back in CA for this year’s King of the Hammers rock race. Showing up more prepared than before, the SAS’d & VK56-Swapped Xterra was running strong. After some suspension tuning the ride smoothed out and everything seemed to be lining up well until a showstopping event. Thanks for reading, there is more to come, stay tuned.

The Counting Continues…. – RCV Update / KoH ’24

I stirred up quite the uproar with these RCV axles in the Nissan world the last few weeks. I understand these are a high end product, and they aren’t for everyone. But they are for someone, the ones that reached out and expressed a need in the first place.
Going back nearly 20 years, I have really tried to be the eyes and ears for the Nissan corner of the off-road industry… especially for those aiming for the next level in off road performance. Overall it’s been an interesting journey, often met with “For a Nissan?” type responses when I appraoch manufactures. Quite honestly, a large part of those types of responses are due to Nissans rarely being seen on the trails by drivers of other makes and models. Despite my countless successes, I agree with them. One could get super analytical comparing sales numbers of toyota vs jeep, ford etc… but it doesn’t matter. What matters is who shows up.. plain and simple. It has always seemed to me that Nissans owners flock with other Nissan owners.. almost exclusively. Much tighter than owners of other makes. I think it’s time to change that. There are countless local wheeling groups, land use organization events, OHV land cleanups, family friendly events, as well as endless competitive events. So, I encourage you all to show up and mingle. Maybe even consider spectating at something like King of the Hammers, which is right around the corner. It’s a massive eye opening event where I think a lot of Nissan owners would learn a lot about build possibilities beyond whats typically talked about. Although I really think it’s cool that Nissan owners are so tight and communicatave, I think it can also be tight to it’s own demise. The bubble is too tight.
I truely believe that the more Nissans are seen among the wild on the trail, the more people will consider and wheel them. In addition, the more demand and support there would be. I’m stepping off of my soapbox for the evening.  But before I do, you should know that Nestor from Camacho Motorsports  / Shaddow Wolf will be racing a 2nd Gen Nissan Xterra at this years King of the Hammers on Feb 2nd! Check it out and watch live online at kingofthehammers.com or head out to Johnson Valley!

As the for RCV’s… the list continues. Keep spreading the word and we will tally it all up in a few weeks. All Nissan 4×4 makes have a shot at this, and I think you’ll be surprised with which model has the most demand at the moment.
If you want to drop by camp at KoH and have a chat, please reach out. I hope to see you on the lakebed. Otherwise, stay tuned!

Ride the Wave – Nissan RCV Axle Shafts

Lets ride the wave! Last week I announced the possibility of RCV making Nissan CV Shafts for Nissan 4×4’s once again, and has sparked a massive amount of intrigued Nissan 4×4 owners on social media. Some of which have already reached out to me directly to start the list of people seriously interested, which is exactly the next step. This projects progress is dependant on meeting minimum qty’s of 20 orders for each application. Flexibility on legth changes for titan swap applications will be explored. If you are seriously interested in these axles, please contact me through the webiste here: https://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/index.php?route=information/contact and be sure to include what application you need the axles for along with your name, e-mail address and phone number. I’m aiming to evaluate the total people seriously interested, around February 9th. I usually wouldn’t leave the signup window open so long, but I have found myself heavily involved with the King of the Hammers races which are taking up quite a bit of time and resources. Speaking of King of the Hammers… Will you be there? Reach out if you want to meet up and talk shop.

If you’re new to RCV, they are Ultimate axle shafts made of 300M and chromoly which come with a Limited LIfetime warrany to the original purchaser. So, if you have been searching for the strongest solution to your repeatedly breaking CV shaft problem, this is it.

Thank you and I hope to see you at KoH!
