Ride the Wave – Nissan RCV Axle Shafts

Lets ride the wave! Last week I announced the possibility of RCV making Nissan CV Shafts for Nissan 4×4’s once again, and has sparked a massive amount of intrigued Nissan 4×4 owners on social media. Some of which have already reached out to me directly to start the list of people seriously interested, which is exactly the next step. This projects progress is dependant on meeting minimum qty’s of 20 orders for each application. Flexibility on legth changes for titan swap applications will be explored. If you are seriously interested in these axles, please contact me through the webiste here: https://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/index.php?route=information/contact and be sure to include what application you need the axles for along with your name, e-mail address and phone number. I’m aiming to evaluate the total people seriously interested, around February 9th. I usually wouldn’t leave the signup window open so long, but I have found myself heavily involved with the King of the Hammers races which are taking up quite a bit of time and resources. Speaking of King of the Hammers… Will you be there? Reach out if you want to meet up and talk shop.

If you’re new to RCV, they are Ultimate axle shafts made of 300M and chromoly which come with a Limited LIfetime warrany to the original purchaser. So, if you have been searching for the strongest solution to your repeatedly breaking CV shaft problem, this is it.

Thank you and I hope to see you at KoH!

2024 Let’s GOOO! – RCV Revisiting Nissan 4×4’s?

First, I sincerely hope that everyone had an enjoyable holiday season. I believe that we only live once and it’s important to exercise your hobbies and favorite pass times during rare opporitunities, and hopefully in good company weather it be friends or family.
As we scoot into 2024, there are things shifting in the Nissan corner of the off road world that I don’t quite understand, but I think it’s a good thing. For one, I’m starting to get calls for M205 RCV IFS Axle Shafts…. again. RCV What? For those of you that are newer to the scene. RCV is a company that makes the toughest axle shafts in off-road, specializing in tough high angle CV axle shafts. You’ll often find them used on vehicles from competition UTV’s to Ultra-4 cars racing at King of the Hammers.
Nearly 10 years ago, I approched RCV to solve the problem of breaking Titan Front (M205) and Xterra / Frontier (R180) CV Axle shafts. With enough momenum we were able to start putting them into production. Given the size of the Nissan 4×4 market, it wasn’t much momentum but we were fortuante that they were willing to take on the project. After a few years, RCV was revamping their product line with a new design, and in that process they made a firm decision to discontinue the Nissan IFS products due to lack of demand. The stance was firm for many years, but there has been an unexpected shift. Following a few recent M205 RCV Axle requests, it was discovered that RCV is relaxing their stance on Nissan 4×4 parts and are willing to update the Nissan products so long as we meet minimums.
Keep in mind that these parts are high strength, high performance parts that don’t come cheap but are the next step when all else falls short of solving your CV axle problems.

We need 20 orders to bring these back. If you are interested in being part of a group buy, please reach out to me so I can start getting a better count of possible orders. Keep in mind that these will not be a stocked part even when production starts. Please feel free to reach out to me, preferably through e-mail, with any questions.
What an interesting turn of events being that performance parts for the new frontier seems slow to start.

Happy new Year, and I hope to see you on the trail.

-Steven

Last Atlas Adapters – 2 Left – 4.0/5.6L Nissan Atlas Adapters

This special project is coming to a close. I’m glad this product, which was ahead of it’s time,  was able to make it’s long awaited come back to take many Nissan 4×4 builds to the next level. However, as we all know, the nissan 4×4 niche is only so big. Based on the demand of these adapters, even after many years, has been slow and is unlikely to make another come back.
There are ony two 2004+ 4.0/5.6L kits on the shelf ready to go, with the ability to build 3 additional. 1990+ 3.0/3.3L kits can be assembled in higher qualities, however, when those are gone.. they will be gone as well.

This adapter allows the replacement of the stock transfercase with a deeper geared aftermaarket option.

$750.00

I hope those of you that were pushing for these to be made have been recieving these project updates this year, and will be able to get one before they are gone. If you know someone who is interested, please forward this e-mail to them so they can respond to me directly via e-mail, the website contact form, or by phone at 909-547-4651.

I enjoy special projects like this from time to time. If you see a need for niche product in the off road space.. let me know, maybe I’ll make it happen.

Thank you,
-Steven Lutz
