2024 Let’s GOOO! – RCV Revisiting Nissan 4×4’s?

First, I sincerely hope that everyone had an enjoyable holiday season. I believe that we only live once and it’s important to exercise your hobbies and favorite pass times during rare opporitunities, and hopefully in good company weather it be friends or family.
As we scoot into 2024, there are things shifting in the Nissan corner of the off road world that I don’t quite understand, but I think it’s a good thing. For one, I’m starting to get calls for M205 RCV IFS Axle Shafts…. again. RCV What? For those of you that are newer to the scene. RCV is a company that makes the toughest axle shafts in off-road, specializing in tough high angle CV axle shafts. You’ll often find them used on vehicles from competition UTV’s to Ultra-4 cars racing at King of the Hammers.
Nearly 10 years ago, I approched RCV to solve the problem of breaking Titan Front (M205) and Xterra / Frontier (R180) CV Axle shafts. With enough momenum we were able to start putting them into production. Given the size of the Nissan 4×4 market, it wasn’t much momentum but we were fortuante that they were willing to take on the project. After a few years, RCV was revamping their product line with a new design, and in that process they made a firm decision to discontinue the Nissan IFS products due to lack of demand. The stance was firm for many years, but there has been an unexpected shift. Following a few recent M205 RCV Axle requests, it was discovered that RCV is relaxing their stance on Nissan 4×4 parts and are willing to update the Nissan products so long as we meet minimums.
Keep in mind that these parts are high strength, high performance parts that don’t come cheap but are the next step when all else falls short of solving your CV axle problems.

We need 20 orders to bring these back. If you are interested in being part of a group buy, please reach out to me so I can start getting a better count of possible orders. Keep in mind that these will not be a stocked part even when production starts. Please feel free to reach out to me, preferably through e-mail, with any questions.
What an interesting turn of events being that performance parts for the new frontier seems slow to start.

Happy new Year, and I hope to see you on the trail.
